Veterinary Exam

Our veterinary team believes prevention is always the best medicine in animal healthcare. Routine examinations allow our team to gain a complete picture of your pet’s health. Especially furry friends age at such a rapid rate, regular visits help us stay up-to-date with their care needs. This not only increases the chances of your pet living longer and remaining healthy, but it also saves you the hassle and expense of having to treat a preventable condition in the future.

How often does my pet need a veterinary exam?

We recommend that you bring your pet in for a routine wellness visit at least once a year. Depending on your pet’s stage of life, we might need to see them more frequently. For example, puppies might see us monthly, and senior dogs visit semi-annually. These visits help us to address any concerns you might have about your pet’s health.

What happens during their appointment?

During their visit, we’ll discuss your pet’s lifestyle and perform a physical exam, as well as use diagnostic tools to help determine the best strategies to maximize their life. Who doesn’t want that for their pet? Please contact our team to schedule your pet’s veterinary exam at 204.488.1843. Your furry family member’s appointment might include:

  • Conducting a dental checkup
  • Creating a vaccination plan
  • Prescribing preventives for parasite control
  • Evaluating gaps in their diet and nutrition
  • Weight management

How can I support my pet’s health in between yearly visits?

In between yearly visits, it’s important to keep up with everything our veterinary team laid out during your pet’s veterinary exam. This includes regularly brushing your pet’s teeth, giving them their preventative as prescribed and feeding them nutrient-rich foods. Most important, prioritize spending quality time with your pet and pouring lots of love into them.
