What vaccines will my feline friend receive?

What non-core vaccines might my pet receive?

Non-core vaccines are given to your pet, based on the likelihood they’ll contract certain diseases or infections. These vaccines might include:

• Feline Leukemia Virus – a virus causing a variety of disorders including leukemia, tumours and bone marrow suppression

What’s the difference between vaccines for kittens and cats?

Kittens start receiving vaccines around 4 or 5 months old. Once they are 1-year old, they receive a booster as well as follow-up boosters every 3 or 4 years. For some vaccines, kittens are more susceptible to diseases. For example, kittens receive their Feline Leukemia Virus vaccine because they are the most likely to contract at this age.
